40th Anniversary Lunch – Tunks Descendants Association Inc
Guest Speaker: Dudley Tunks – Life Member & Inaugural Committee Member
Come and join us to celebrate 40 years of researching and documenting the lives of William Tunks, Sarah Lyons and their ancestors. In 1980, Len Chalmers and several other Tunks descendants were volunteer workers at The Fellowship of First Fleeter offices in Margaret Street in the City. After some initial discussions and gatherings it was decided to formalise the group as an Association with their first official Meeting in Parramatta Park in 1981. Over the intervening years several committees have worked hard on producing a fantastic Family Tree consisting of more than 7,000 names covering 11 generations to keep the Tunks heritage alive.
This is a sit-down lunch consisting of a delicious 3 course menu of shared platters, in an amazing setting right on Sydney Harbour overlooking Goat Island, the Harbor Bridge and Barrangaroo. We are restricted to 50 guests on the day, so book your seat early to avoid disappointment.
